Frames

PDF Frames

View and navigate multi-page PDF documents in Frames.

PDF Frames display PDF documents with page navigation controls. They support all common Frame controls and share most features with Image Frames, plus PDF-specific page navigation.

PDF Frames include a bottom control bar for navigating between pages:

Arrow Buttons
Click the left and right arrow buttons to move to the previous or next page.
Page Slider
Drag the slider or click to jump to a specific page in the document.
Page Counter
Shows current page and total page count (e.g., "2/4").
Use the page slider to quickly scan through reference documents or design specs.

How PDFs are Displayed

PDF pages are displayed as high-res images within Refbox. The original PDF file is preserved and used anytime you Save As a PDF file from Refbox to your computer.

Shared Features with Image Frames

PDF Frames work almost identically to Image Frames, including:

  • All transformation controls: Pan, zoom, opacity, rotation, flip, grayscale
  • Free Canvas Mode: Pan and zoom beyond document boundaries

Context Menu Actions

Right-click a PDF Frame to access:

Opacity
Quick opacity adjustment slider.
Rotation
Quick rotation controls.
Flip
Flip horizontal or vertical.
Grayscale
Toggle grayscale mode.
Free Canvas
Toggle Free Canvas mode on/off.
Color Picker
Copy the HEX color code of any pixel on your screen.
Save As
Export the PDF to your computer.
Lock
Lock the Frame to prevent keyboard or mouse interaction.
Reset
Reset all transformations to default.
Close
Close the Frame.

Tips and Best Practices

Navigate to specific pages quickly using the page slider.
Use zoom and pan to examine fine details in PDF pages, especially useful for technical or detailed images.
Create mulptile Frames of the same PDF Asset to view different pages from the document simultaneously.
