Video Frames
Play and reference video content in Frames.
Video Frames let you play, scrub, and reference motion content. They support all common Frame controls plus video-specific playback features.

Playback Controls
Playback controls appear when you hover over or focus a Video Frame:
Play/Pause
Click the play button or press Spacebar (when Frame is focused) to toggle playback.
Timeline Slider
Drag the timeline slider to scrub through the video and jump to specific moments.
Volume Control
Adjust audio volume or mute the video entirely.
Playback Speed
Change playback speed with a multiplier (0.25x to 2x).
Using video playback controls
Press Spacebar with the Frame focused to quickly play/pause without reaching for the mouse.
Timeline Scrubbing
Click and drag the timeline slider to scrub frame-by-frame through your video. This is perfect for:
- Finding specific moments for reference
- Analyzing motion and timing
- Capturing key poses from animation

Playback Speed Control
Adjust the playback speed to:
- Slow down (0.25x - 0.75x): Study fast motion in detail
- Normal (1x): View at recorded speed
- Speed up (1.25x - 2x): Preview longer sequences quickly

Volume Control
Control audio playback for a Video Frame:
- Adjust volume with the slider
- Mute audio completely
Multiple Video Frames can play simultaneously, each with independent volume control.
Context Menu Actions
Right-click a Video Frame to access:
Opacity
Quick opacity adjustment slider.
Rotation
Quick rotation controls.
Flip
Flip video horizontal or vertical.
Grayscale
Toggle grayscale mode.
Free Canvas
Toggle Free Canvas mode on/off.
Color Picker
Copy the HEX color code of any pixel on your screen.
Save As
Export the video to your computer.
Lock
Lock the Frame to prevent keyboard or mouse interaction.
Reset
Reset all transformations to default.
Close
Close the Frame.
Tips and Best Practices
Slow down playback (0.25x - 0.5x) to analyze fast motion or complex animation timing.
Scrub the timeline frame-by-frame to find the perfect reference pose for drawing or modeling.
Open multiple Video Frames from the same video at different timestamps to compare motion across different moments.
Mute audio when you have multiple Video Frames playing and want to focus on visual reference only.
